About Quantum Cascade Lasers

Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) represent a fundamentally new class of semiconductor lasers that are capable of generating light in the mid- to longwave infrared portions of the spectrum, generally between 4 and 12 microns. Having no serious competition from other solid state light sources in this spectral window in wavelength agility, optical power, and size/weight, QCLs further existing applications and enable new ones in fields as diverse as spectroscopy, free space optical communications, and directed infrared countermeasures and other security areas.
Today, Pranalytica is a vertically integrated QCL company, specializing in high power QCL devices and systems. For many applications, output power is the main figure of merit. To address this need, Pranalytica begins with its own patented as well as proprietary QCL designs that specifically target high power, high temperature operation. Our QCLs are fabricated in state-of-the-art facilities using the best available technologies. 1101-QCW-TT Tabletop high duty cycle quasi-CW model

Model 1101-QCW-TT quantum cascade laser system is a high duty cycle pulsed QCL system that produces quasi-CW power output and is designed for bench top use. Pulse shaping and power conditioning electronics are enclosed inside along with the hermetically sealed package that includes the QCL and related optics for collimating the output laser beam. The system requires no adjustments in the field and is designed to be stable over long periods of time when operating in a stable temperature environment.

1101-QCW-EGC-TT Tabletop high duty cycle single frequency model

Model 1101-QCW-EGC-TT is a high average power and wavelength stabilized pulsed quantum cascade laser (QCL) system. Wavelength stabilization is achieved by incorporating a wavelength dispersive element inside the laser head, which is hermetically sealed for reliable operation in adverse environments.

1101-QCW-MicroTT High power QCW micro tabletop model

Model 1101-QCW-MicroTT quantum cascade laser (QCL) system is a high average power, pulsed source of infrared radiation. At the wavelength of 4.6 μm, the system produces in excess of 3.5 W of average power. Other wavelengths between 3.6 and 12 μm are available. The passively cooled system is designed for bench top use, and is virtually vibration-free. The system is self-contained, and requires only external 20 VDC power to operate.
